Toothpaste a Pack of Reactive Chemistry:

A toothpaste is a pack of reactive chemistry, which starts it’s action, the moment it reaches the oral cavity laid on a moist toothbrush ready to be rubbed on all the surfaces of teeth and the gums.

The various active ingredients present in the toothpaste get mixed with the saliva now the paste turns in to a foamy liquid in the oral cavity, which due to it’s dense consistency does not drip out and follows the tooth brush wherever it goes scrubbing the teeth to remove sticking food particles, the stains and discoloration present on them, which loosens and comes off little bit with each application of tooth paste.

That is why it is advised to do tooth brushing with toothpaste on it after every meal, before going to bed and after getting up in the morning next day.

The Activities of Toothpaste:

Basically toothpaste performs two activities to enhance the cosmetic look as well as maintaining hygienic environment in the mouth so that the bacteria is not in a position become active causing decay of teeth and deposit of food particles as plaque if not removed. Plaque is formed by bacteria and the metabolic products as result of bacterial action.

Mouthwash is a liquid preparation, which is mixed with water in a ratio as advised in the instructions on the label or as advised by the doctor for rinsing the oral cavity. Thus action of mouth wash overlaps the action of toothpaste resulting into a condition, where through out the day action of mouth wash or toothpaste is there.

Electric toothbrush: It is a device based on modern advances in electronics and mechanical fusion to create product having great utility made available to the masses economically involving mass production techniques reducing cost per unit almost negligible. It consists of a miniature motor operating on 12 volt rechargeable cell all concealed in a water tight compartment to keep it protected while being washed with water.
